Duneaton Quarry is strategically situated near junction 13 on the M74, allowing us to efficiently supply customers throughout Central and Southern Scotland with high-quality stone products for a variety of applications.
We offer an extensive range of aggregates, from 6mm stone to Gabion stone and rock armour. Our expertise enables us to provide tailored solutions for projects ranging from small decorative applications to major construction undertakings.
Established in 2009, our quarry specializes in Greywacke from the Ordovician Formation. This mineral is characterized by its grey color, rich quartz veins, and high iron content. These attributes contribute to a durable stone with excellent hardness and minimal weathering over time. The rich quartz veins also result in a high polished stone value of 71%, making it ideal for various applications.
Throughout our establishment, we have been privileged to serve a variety of sectors, including private clients, civil engineering, house building, and agriculture. Recently, we have experienced increased demand for single-size products in the asphalt road surfacing industry. Our Greywacke stone’s durability and high polished stone value make it particularly suitable for this purpose, providing a reliable and long-lasting material for road construction.
